About Kajira

Kajira is an association for Ghent students with an interest in BDSM. Our association's goal is to make BDSM more socially accepted, to meet like-minded people and to talk openly about BDSM with them — without having to wear a mask, and in an accessible way.

Are you a student in Flemish higher education, curious about BDSM, or already active in BDSM but looking to meet new people who share your interest? We warmly invite you to our events, which you'll find in the sidebar. We offer pleasant company, plenty of like-minded people and a place where you can freely be who you are.

What we cannot offer you at our events — despite all the clichés — is a brutal flogging, a roomful of disturbed minds, or a grimy hidden dungeon. But if you've taken the time to read this far, that probably doesn't surprise you.

Kajira's events are aimed at students with an interest in BDSM. They're characterised by a very open atmosphere. The goal is to offer a place where you can be who you are, where you can speak openly and in confidence — both about BDSM and other topics. Don't worry if you don't know anyone else attending; we'll make sure you feel welcome in the group (and rest assured, you're far from the only one in that situation).

Alongside BDSM-related events, Kajira also offers a wide range of ordinary everyday activities. There's more to life than BDSM. From theatre outings and laser tag to a casual night out together — you'll find it all with us.
